Step into summer at Barbican Bar & Grill as we unveil our brand-new summer terrace, a green escape nestled within the architectural splendour of the Barbican Centre.

Located on Level 1 of the Barbican, our terrace offers a tranquil retreat above the City. Surrounded by cascading greenery and lakeside views, the setting strikes a unique contrast between lush, living garden and the iconic brutalist architecture that defines the Barbican Estate. Designed as an urban oasis, the space is perfect for long, leisurely lunches, after-work drinks or a post-theatre nightcap.

Alfresco Dining at Its Best

Our new summer menu celebrates the best of seasonal British produce. Think bold flavours, vibrant salads, and hearty classics, with ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers including Lake District Farmers and Piglet’s Pantry in Sussex.

Highlights include:

• The signature BBG Burger

• Smoked chicken and roasted peach salad

• Caesar salad with a choice of charred halloumi or marinated chicken

To complement your meal, enjoy a hand-picked wine list featuring everything from Vinabade Albariño and Occitan Gérard Bertrand Pinot Noir, to Searcys English Sparkling Wine, made in partnership with vineyards in Surrey.

Garden-Inspired Cocktails

Our bar team has also crafted a bespoke collection of cocktails inspired by the terrace’s herbs and botanicals. Sip on:

• Thyme for Honey – a smooth mix of bourbon, thyme-infused honey, and Angostura bitters

• Hendrick’s Collins – refreshing Hendrick’s gin, lemon, soda, and a cooling cucumber ribbon
